These policies help families understand participation, scheduling, media consent, weather decisions, and progression structure before booking.

The liability waiver is required for every student before participation.
Optional
Media consent is separate and can be declined without affecting lessons.

Required before participation
RequiredLiability Waiver
Skateboarding has real physical risk. The waiver makes sure every student and parent understands that clearly before stepping into a session.
Required before participation
RequiredLiability Waiver
Skateboarding has real physical risk. The waiver makes sure every student and parent understands that clearly before stepping into a session.
- Skateboarding can involve falls, collisions, loss of balance, contact with skatepark surfaces, contact with other riders, and other injuries that may happen even with thoughtful coaching.
- By participating, the student and parent or guardian acknowledge the inherent risks of skateboarding and voluntarily assume those risks.
- A parent or legal guardian must consent for any minor student to participate in HaHaHaden Skate Academy sessions.
- Parents and students agree to share any relevant health, injury, confidence, behavioral, or safety information that may affect participation.
- In an emergency, reasonable steps may be taken to contact the parent or guardian and seek appropriate help based on the situation.
- Students agree to follow coaching direction, respect safety boundaries, and participate in a way that supports a focused learning environment.
- Families acknowledge that HaHaHaden Skate Academy, its coach, and related parties are not responsible for injuries or losses that come from the inherent risks of skateboarding, except where the law does not allow that protection.
Optional and separate
OptionalMedia Consent
Photos and clips can help students see progress and help the Academy share its teaching style, but consent is always voluntary.

OptionalMedia Consent
Photos and clips can help students see progress and help the Academy share its teaching style, but consent is always voluntary.
- Students can fully participate in lessons without granting media consent.
- If consent is granted, photos or short video clips may be used for Academy social media, website content, progress storytelling, or teaching-related examples.
- Media consent is separate from the required liability waiver and is never required to book or attend a session.
- Parents and students may decline media use comfortably. Declining does not affect coaching quality, eligibility, or the student experience.
- A family may ask to revisit media preferences at any time so expectations stay clear and respectful.
Reserved coaching time
Cancellation + Rescheduling
The policy protects consistency, planning, and reserved session time while still leaving room for real life.
Reserved coaching time
Cancellation + Rescheduling
The policy protects consistency, planning, and reserved session time while still leaving room for real life.
- Please request reschedules at least 24 hours before the session so the calendar stays fair for other students and realistic for Haden.
- Package sessions still need to be used inside their existing expiration window, even when individual sessions are rescheduled.
- Reasonable emergencies are handled with discretion. The goal is steady progression and respectful communication, not punishment.
- Repeated late changes may require a more structured scheduling plan so the student rhythm and operations stay steady.
Safety first
Weather Policy
Skate conditions matter. Weather calls are made from experience, not from a generic forecast alone.
Safety first
Weather Policy
Skate conditions matter. Weather calls are made from experience, not from a generic forecast alone.
- Weather and skateability decisions are made at coach discretion based on actual conditions, surface safety, visibility, wind, rain, heat, and park conditions.
- If conditions are unsafe or unskateable, the session will be rescheduled so progression and safety stay aligned.
- A session may be adjusted, paused, or moved when conditions change unexpectedly.
- Families should watch for clear communication if weather looks questionable near the session time.
Momentum matters
Package Expiration Philosophy
Progression becomes believable when students keep a rhythm. The structure exists to protect momentum, not to rush families.
Momentum matters
Package Expiration Philosophy
Progression becomes believable when students keep a rhythm. The structure exists to protect momentum, not to rush families.
- Consistency creates progression. Long gaps can slow confidence, timing, board feel, and skill development.
- 4-Pack and Academy packages are designed to be used with a healthy rhythm of lessons, practice, and recovery.
- 4-Session Packs expire 45 days after purchase.
- Academy Semester packages expire 90 days after purchase.
- Expiration windows help keep students moving instead of letting purchased sessions sit too long to support real development.
- If a student needs a pause for a reasonable life circumstance, communication helps the Academy review the situation with discretion.
- The goal is to make progression feel structured, steady, and real.
Community progression
Academy Sundays
Academy Sundays are structured progression sessions for qualifying active students, not a drop-in camp.
Community progression
Academy Sundays
Academy Sundays are structured progression sessions for qualifying active students, not a drop-in camp.
- Complimentary Academy Sunday invites are included for active qualifying 4-Pack and Academy students when they are eligible and invited through the Academy schedule.
- Participation depends on active student status, schedule fit, safety, and the student being ready for the group-style progression environment.
- Students are expected to arrive prepared, listen during demonstrations, respect the skatepark, and support the learning rhythm of the group.
- Parents and students should treat Academy Sundays as a focused community progression session, not open childcare or casual drop-in supervision.
- The goal is structured confidence, community, and momentum around the same coaching standards used in private sessions.
